The rooms in the main house are named after previous owners, all of whom were celebrated Ironmasters:-
The Lord Dundonald Room
Refurbished in March 2006 this lovely room has antique mahogany furnishings
including the Great Bed of Jackfield - a large four poster bed c1800,
measuring 7 feet wide, 8 feet long and 9 feet high.This room overlooks the Ironbridge Gorge.
The William Hazeldine Room
has Ormolu furnishings with a French restoration bed in the style of Louis XV, around 1850.
This spacious room can also be used as a family room.
The Alexander Brodie Room
has antique oak furnishings with a delightful country style four poster bed, c1750, original oak floorboards and overlooks the Ironbridge Gorge.
The Coach House
Our tasteful and very comfortable Coach House conversion, immediately adjacent to the main house, has the following rooms, named after eminent visitors to The Calcutts House:
Ground Floor The Prince William of Orange Room
has Victorian furnishings with an ornately carved mahogany half tester double bed.
The Thomas Telford Room
This spacious, recently decorated room has comfortable divan twin beds.
Upper Floor The William Reynolds Room and the James Glazebrook Room are both furnished in country style each with a Danish pine double bed.
Please note these two rooms have sloping ceilings and exposed oak purlins.
